What We Don’t Fund
- Charities registered outside England or Wales.
- Core costs – salaries, running costs, training programmes, rent, utility bills.
- Capital fees – building surveys, planning applications or feasibility studies.
- Individuals.
- Second hand vehicles.
- Churches or other religious bodies with no secular activity.
- NHS hospitals or mainstream schools, colleges or universities.
- Heritage or conservation projects with no community benefit.
- Medical or research medical equipment.
- Appliances, furniture, uniforms, musical instruments or any other type of equipment.
- Project costs of £5 million and over.
- Project costs of less than £5,000.
- Charities with an annual income of £10 million and over.
- Charities that have applied to us unsuccessfully within the previous 12 months.
- Charities applying for a new grant before a successful previous application has been paid.
- Newly established charities with no previous annual accounts.
