In November 2018, the Foundation awarded £10,000 to the charity’s new building project at its Footprints children’s care home which looks after children aged 5 to 17 with complex disabilities and life limiting conditions.
Footprints now boasts an amazing new extension which is full of natural light and its bi-fold doors that fully open up to the exterior wall means that many of the children, who are often too ill to go outside, can now enjoy the experience of being outdoors even on rainy days. The new sensory room is full of wonderful new equipment and fully accessible to all of the residents and is having a very positive effect on the physical, mental and educational well being of the children. The two new respite care bedrooms and their adjoining bathrooms are large, colourful and modern and now form an important part of the main house.
