Below are suggestions for some capital funds and databases which list grant giving trusts and foundations to help your charity with its fundraising.
Capital funds
Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE) *CURRENTLY CLOSED*

ACRE is awarding grants to support larger improvement projects to rural community buildings in England such as full refits and extensions. Awards can be made to cover 20% of eligible project costs, up to a maximum amount of £75,000.

This is run by the Directory of Social Change and lists 4,500 grant making organisations. This is a subscription service and organisations can elect to pay for access to the site for just a week or for a year.
Community Foundations

This is a membership organisation of 47 community foundations working across the UK. Charities can find their local community foundation from this main site and each local website has its own directory of grant giving trusts and foundations.
My Funding Central
myfundingcentral.co.uk
This is a funding database that is free to charities with an annual income of under £30,000 and thereafter, annual subscription starts at £30 per annum. Organisations must have an annual income of below £1m.
Grantway
grantway.com
Grantway is a free to use grant portal for individuals and organisations to find available and appropriate funding locally, regionally and internationally.
